Changes to Google's 'Keyword Research' Search Results
Wow, there’s a mouthful for sure! But yes, check out Google’s Keyword tool and you’ll see they’ve changed the way they display the search results.
It used to be results showed only a little bar graph giving you a rating out of 5. You really had no idea of how many searches were being done on the keywords you were researching.
Now, it’s all change. And definitely for the better. Now that Google is giving you estimates of the actual search volume in figures you can get a much clearer picture of whether you’re targeting the right keywords in your campaigns.
This has got to be good news for all Internet Marketers out there. No more wondering just how much interest there is in your particular niche. You can get the numbers and target your keywords much more accurately.
For a ‘non techie’ like me this is a huge boost to running any form of online business. If you know how many folks are looking for a particular type of information, it’s easier to decide if you want to target them or not.
Keywords that have average search volumes in the thousands will be more highly sought out than those that only get searched on a few hundred. But believe it or not, higher search volumes don’t always mean more competition! Just goes to prove how few folks actually bother doing Keyword Research!
Go check it out here. Keyword research is one of the most important aspects of any online business and Google just made it a whole lot easier.
