I’m pretty sure most of you know by now that the quickest way to Top the Google God is to provide her with good quality content.
Why?
Because Google loves content. Fresh, new, informative, useful, quality content that she can use to increase the range of dishes on the menu for her customers.
If you provide it, she will reward you handsomely. Kind of like a “you scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours” approach. Of course if you try passing off some cheap burger from the local takeaway as the latest ‘haute cusiine’ then you’re likely to be banned from the premises. So be warned!
There are so many ways to do this, you could just get lost in the maze of information sites out there. Blogs, article directories, social networks, etc are just a few.
Can you provide good quality content on all of these services? Whew! Quite a task. But it can be done. You just need to be organised. You need to be sure you have a daily ‘to do list’ and then you need to be even more sure that you actually ‘do it‘!
Whatever your niche is, whichever product or business you want to promote, you need to let Google know about it. And you need to let her know in as many ways and in as many places as possible. Check out some of the dishes I’ve served up.
-
Submit an article to GoArticles or EzineArticles.
-
Share your expertise on a social networking forum such as Apsense or Magnetic Sponsoring.
Warning - Do not(I repeat) Do NOT copy and paste content from anywhere to anywhere! Google hates this.
Think how you would feel if you were served up the same meal in every restaurant you visited! It doesn’t matter how much you loved it to start with, pretty soon you’re going to get sick of the same taste, texture, look, smell… and you’re not going to want to eat it again!
You don’t have to choose a whole new meal, you can alter the taste by adding more herbs, less salt, steamed instead of poached, baked instead of roasted… do the same with the content you’re serving up to Google.
I’ve talked before about the importance of Building Your Reputation. It doesn’t just refer to building a reputation with your prospects. The biggest prospects you need to impress are the search engines. Cater to their whims and fancies, and they will provide you with customers.
Really people. This isn’t hard. Think about what your prospects want. The search engines want the exact same thing. They are your ‘sales force‘. The bridge between you and potential customers. Get them on your side and they will bring you all the custom you can handle.
To Your Success
