Actually, I wouldn’t have figured that Christmas and copywriting were exactly what you thought of as a match made in Heaven. But given some of the marketing mails I’ve recieved in my inbox in the run up to Christmas, I’m beginning to have second thoughts.
So when I recieved an e-mail from Clayton over at “The Total Package“, with the headline, “All I Want for The Holidays“…, I admit I didn’t exactly rush to open it. Don’t get me wrong. I love reading Clayton’s work and The Total Package isn’t just copywriting tips from Clayton.
He really does cover everything you need to know about marketing and copywriting and growing your business to attract more customers and sales. Kind of like a ‘one stop shop‘ for your training needs.
But the headline threw me. With all the other Christmas sales messages coming in, I was pretty sure that all he wanted was to make me more successful in 2009 by offering me a discount on his most expensive training package. I mean, it’s not like he was going to admit to only wanting his ‘two front teeth’ is it?
Anyway, to cut a long story short, (trust me, I mean it this time, the meat is cooking in the oven, I’ve still got pressies to wrap, and Santa’s due any minute) Clayton wasn’t trying to sell me anything. Sorry Clayton. ![]()
Instead all he was asking is that I pass on the benefits of “The Total Package” to those that I know who would benefit from reading it. Frankly, I can’t imagine anyone reading this who wouldn’t benefit from subscribing, (apart from my sis who only reads my ramblings out of a sense of family loyalty,
) so do yourself a favour and give yourself a free gift that will last a lifetime, not just for Christmas.
Once you’ve signed up, chill out, enjoy your family and friends, forget about the year that’s gone and look forward to the year ahead.
HoHoHo
