If only it was as easy as throwing some money at some self confessed guru who promises to make you rich, the world of Internet Marketing would be a whole lot simpler. But alas, good things rarely come that easily.
So why do folks think they can come online and suddenly start earning huge amounts of cash, with no experience, no knowledge, and most of all, no time. It never ceases to amaze me.
Nowhere else would you expect to start at the top. Yet for a heck of a lot of folks, they somehow think Internet Marketing is different. That you really can start out at the top of the heap and give up your day job within a few weeks.
Nowhere else would you expect to be able to start a job one day and be fully competent without being given any training or instruction on what to do and how to do it.
Internet Marketing really isn’t that much different. You have to learn to walk before you can run. In essence, you have to ‘learn before you can earn’.
Admittedly, you don’t have to learn much to get started. Picking up some pretty basic skills is enough to see you through and start earning some money while you continue to learn more advanced methods and tactics that will ultimately take you to the next level.
And it doesn’t cost you a fortune to learn the basics. Dumb Little Man (what a cool title
) posted a great article showcasing 15 of the best tutorial websites that you can use.
As you start earning money then you can get into the advanced stuff. This will almost inevitably come with a price tag, but given the recent trend of folks following Eban Pagan’s advice of ‘Moving The Free Line’, those price tags are getting smaller by the day. In many cases you can get some of this stuff for the price of post and packing.
Go check out Dumb Little Man’s list. Learn how to walk. Then build up speed till you’re running full steam ahead towards your goal.
